Wren class have worked together to create this version of King Charles III as part of this year’s preschool scarecrow trail.

Friday morning was spent walking to St Mary’s Church to celebrate harvest. We were joined by so many of our families as well as some members of the church. The children shared some harvest songs, prayers, poems and art work. Thank you to all who were able to donate food items to the Yate and Chipping Sodbury Foodbank.

Hawkesbury show float

On Saturday, many people in Hawkesbury took part in the annual Hawkesbury show. A group of parents worked hard the amazing float which you can see below. On the day, a number of children dressed up as animals and took part in the procession through the village. What an amazing day! Thank you to all involved.

New school year

Welcome back to all children and families. We are pleased to see you all after the long summer holiday. Over the break, the staff have been busy preparing the school for your return. During the holidays, Wren Class received a very special letter from the Queen in response to the letters they sent to her at the time of her Platinum Jubilee.

Electric car club

Our electric car club recently entered into two events, one in Cardiff and one in Wotton. Well done to each of you who took part – what a wonderful day it was! Thank you to Mrs Sadler and Mrs Pederick for running the club for this group of children over the past few weeks.

Silly Science

Today we were joined by Stasia from Silly Science who worked with every class to provide fun and interactive science activities. The day started with a whole school assembly which included some science experiments. Then each class got hands on and were able to practise their skills of scientific enquiry.
