Friday morning was spent walking to St Mary’s Church to celebrate harvest. We were joined by so many of our families as well as some members of the church. The children shared some harvest songs, prayers, poems and art work. Thank you to all who were able to donate food items to the Yate and Chipping Sodbury Foodbank.

On Saturday, many people in Hawkesbury took part in the annual Hawkesbury show. A group of parents worked hard the amazing float which you can see below. On the day, a number of children dressed up as animals and took part in the procession through the village. What an amazing day! Thank you to all involved.

During the holidays, Wren Class received a very special letter from the Queen in response to the letters they sent to her at the time of her Platinum Jubilee.

Today we were joined by Stasia from Silly Science who worked with every class to provide fun and interactive science activities. The day started with a whole school assembly which included some science experiments. Then each class got hands on and were able to practise their skills of scientific enquiry.
