Vision and values

We moved to the area mid-year and were really impressed with how the school team supported our two children to fit in.

The school’s warm and nurturing atmosphere enables each child to develop confidence in their own individual voice/identity.

Our Vision, ‘enabling everyone to flourish’. Our Ethos is to provide a caring, Christian environment where all can enjoy, achieve and believe.

Our vision is to enable everyone to flourish during their time at Hawkesbury Primary School. We strive for every member of the school community to flourish in their learning and living, enabling others to do the same so that they are prepared for life both now and in the future.

Our vision is based on Psalm 1 verse 3 which says : “They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do.”

Our school logo reflects the fact that we are a church school with strong links with St Mary’s Church. It also highlights important parts of our village history like the Somerset Monument. And it shows the tree which forms part of our vision.

Our core values

Our values help us to live out our vision. These are:

Respect-The story of The Good Samaritan reminds us that we should respect each other and celebrate our differences.

Creativity-The story of The Creation reminds us of the importance of our wonderful world and that we can all be creative in our own way.

Perseverance-The story of Moses leading the Hebrews out of Egypt reminds us that we need to keep trying and never give up.
