A huge thank you to our amazing PTA who put on a fantastic curry and quiz night last week. The event raised an impressive amount of money for the school at just under £1000!

The whole school went on a big walk today along a short part of the Cotswold Way as part of mental health week. We were thinking about the way that walking in the fresh air and in beautiful surroundings can help us to look after our minds.

The children are learning all about the culture, language and food of 4 countries today: Kenya, Mexico, China and Russia.

Children from Wren Class frequently visit the nursing home next door to school. They take part in a range of activities which are both good for the residents and also the children. Here is a picture of two children sharing a picture with resident Norma.

What a fantastic time we had at the Christingle service in St Mary’s Church today. The children learnt what each part of the Christingle means and sang a few favourite carols. It was great to have so many families with us.

Children from Iron Acton, Hawkesbury and Old Sodbury joined together for a chess tournament today.

Well done and thank you to Wren and Robin classes and their teachers for 2 wonderful Nativity performances today and yesterday. You did an incredible job at sharing this important story!

Year 4 have been finding out more about the importance of Advent today. They visited Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church where they took part in a range of activities.
